TheLittleOne, or TLO, or even LiquidTLO, is a Starcraft 2 player who received a great deal of attention shortly before suffering from an extreme case of carpal tunnel, forcing him out of the game to help recover.
TLO is one of my favorite players. I really don't know how good he is anymore, as his tournament attendance has been, sadly, low, but that's not even why I love him. So I'm going to give you a brief history of TLO, and maybe you can see why you should love him, if you don't already.
I heard of TLO not too long after my passion for Starcraft 2 arrived (shortly after the game released, if I'm being honest...), but didn't pay much attention to him. I saw him interviewed at an MLG, where he was wearing awesome sunglasses and answering a question about how women apparently love him. I have to say, I didn't know him very well, but with his sunglasses and oddly awesome German accent, I found myself thinking, "...I can see why women like him."Not much more. Just some cool guy.
TLO was making rounds in tournaments. He was a pretty big star, mostly because he was the only well-known (and good) random player. Shortly after I discovered him, he changed to Terran. And shortly after that, he had to call it temporary quits on Starcraft 2. There went that one cool guy. Oh well.
Except that, for some reason, TLO was never completely out of the picture. I don't think he should've been for anyone. TLO recovered from his severe lapse of carpal tunnel, and while he still has to be safe, I remember watching his stream (http://www.twitch.tv/liquidtlo/b/296592716) when he was apologizing and groaning about how he could only practice ~4 hours, doctor's orders. Shortly after that, he did the 24 hour charity, which was promoted by the very awesome Felicia Day, and to which I tried my best to watch whenever I could.
Shortly after that, TLO promised his fans he would get better.
Maybe this is why I think TLO is one of the greatest Starcraft 2 players in the world. He didn't like that he couldn't practice. He hated being bad. He hated it so much, felt so disappointed, he apologized to his fans and promised him, and them, he would get better. I've been watching his stream faithfully since then, and I can tell you one thing.
TLO is one guy to be respected.
Go watch his stream. Go watch it from back in July. Watch it from the 24-hour charity to now, and look at how much this guy improves. How nice and cool he is to his fans. How he deals with BM. How he sometimes wears shutter shades. How is music is so european and girly...and, believe it or not, how right now I'm watching his stream and he's playing Disney Renaissance music.
TLO already has a big following, and I'm sure most of them love him for the same reasons I do. If you're not watching him, you really need to. You'll be inspired.

* Zombie Legend is a casting team that is available for paid and non-paid casting positions. It consists of a girl who's mediocre at SC2 and a man who's pretty bad at SC2, but happens to be really good at talking. They both share something in common though: they love Starcraft 2.

Art, Infinity Seven, zemotion, and ESports
Please go here for the official press release from DA! http://hq.deviantart.com/blog/44700501/
So as you can read (or guess from the title of the article), an E-Sports team named Infinity Seven has signed with SteelSeries and Deviantart, which for some of you less artistically inclined type is one of the biggest art-sharing communities in the world. Infinity Seven has the (pretty big) privilege of having zemotion as a manager (known as isJinn over there). Most people would say it's the other way around, but c'mon.
zemotion is a pretty big deal.
ZombieGrub, what are you talking about? zemotion isn't MVP, silly. Too true! But zemotion is almost the MVP of the art world. You can see her gallery here: http://zemotion.deviantart.com/
Pretty awesome stuff right?
And you know that awesome picture of Huk and Idra? Yeah, that was her. How about that Day9 sexy photo of him looking so nice in his suit? Her. She's a pretty good photographer, see, and her photography is so good anyone who spends about thirty minutes on DA will know her. Just like anyone who spends thirty minutes looking up SC2 E-Sports will know who MVP is.
So why is this so important I feel the need to a) write about it and b) compliment her like I'm about to go lesbian? A well-known photographer in the art world, who is a young woman, is taking the initiative to manage her own team and promote the world of E-Sports. For anyone out there who's an artist whose dream in life is to work at Blizzard (or any other gaming company, it really doesn't matter!), the combination of an icon from the art world joining forces with the greatness that is E-Sports is, well. Pretty great.
P.S: For that matter, I'd like to take the time to shout-out not only to zemotion, a woman artist pummeling her way through the male-dominated world of E-Sports, but also to any other woman or awesome artist who loves E-Sports. Art & E-Sports make me so happy.

New Computer! And Stuff!
I'm getting a pretty sweet computer in about a month...or whenever I have the money. I'm also going to NYCC in about two weeks, so it's pretty hard to gauge how much money I REALLY have. Who knows what I'll buy there?
Who knows how much I'll eat there?!
Anyway, my new computer will have awesome streaming capabilities (and since this current computer has literally none, that's a pretty big step), and with time (hopefully soon after I get the computer, because by then it'll be Christmas!) I want to get a good video recording set up going to commentate games. Until then, LegendKiller will be the streamer. It's just hard to get our times together, since he has weird-ass work hours as a reporter.
Besides that, I also wanna do some stuff on my own, such as commentating other games (believe it or not, I play WoW) in a humorous fashion, and setting up some small-scale talk shows. I'm a girl, you see, and while I'm only sort of happy to admit it, I'm going to milk it. Besides, I want to meet other girls who game, and it just so happens gamers usually like it when girls get together and talk about games. It makes them feel like we're talking to them, I guess.
LOL jk, but just like Europeans can have a different view on games than Americans, women will have different things to say. It won't be entirely female-based, but majority, just to make a switch.
I hope you guys will check out my stream once I get everything set up at justin.tv/zombiegrub, and check out Zombie Legend's stream at http://justin.tv/legendkiller898. We're looking for casting gigs if anyone's interested!

MLG Anaheim
Where's Anaheim? I have no idea!
Click This To Be Taken To MLG
So I delved into my pockets to find thirty bucks and put out for a gold membership for MLG (a year of MLG with no ads, discounts, special stuff - I almost typed donuts, but that just would've been too good to be true l: ), and I'm actually watching this stuff LIVE. Yeah, fancy.
My friend in California got to see it extra-live. Like 3D live. He saw NASL too. What a ho. ):
Being a zerg player I only REALLY paid attention to any games with zerg players. Dongraegu (ColIMDRG, or something...) was an interesting match to watch, especially since, I kid you not, not ten minutes before his match came up I finished casting for justin.tv/scrtv an older match of his. My co-caster swore he was popular and up and coming, and I was just like, "Never heard of him."
DERP.
Pretty impressed, really. He had a plan and executed it pretty flawlessly...and you could like, tell he had a plan, too. It wasn't 'hey a gold base', it was like a build. Pretty impressive. And then Idra vs. INcontroL...man, hardest match to pick someone to root for, really. ): I'm a pretty big fan of Idra, and I was hoping to see him actually be as good as he really is. He was, but then on the other hand, the receiving end of Idra's goodness was this great guy, INcontroL, who's been away from the player scene for a while, but really deserves whatever he puts his mind to. Lately, that's been getting back into playing SC2.
It wasn't like he played bad, either, just...Idra was really showing his stuff, and Incontrol just wasn't tip-top. Unfortunate, but at least these aren't removal matches. Both get more shots to get to the finals.
Speaking of finals.
GSL FINALS NESTEA VS. LOSIRA! Casted by the Casting Archon...mmmm. Like half an hour to go. :DDDDD

S. 978, the new "Ten Strikes" bill
Info & Petition To Sign
Please read the above website, but also read this: THE ACTUAL BILL before you make an INFORMED decision.
This bill has been stirring up a lot of controversy (plenty of people have posted on SC2 forums, TeamLiquid, twitter, youtube...), and while I'm not a political person, I like to try and understand what's going on and look at a lot of other responses before jumping on the OMG OUR GOVERMENT SUCKS boat. Plenty of people have made smarter responses to this, so I'd just like to copypasta some:
Taken From: Starcraft 2 Forum
PCGErratic:
Nothing to see here, move along. Blizzard will never press charges against a streamer because Blizzard actually likes the streamers. People stream movies and then don't go buy the movies because they've seen them, no one streams a game and doesn't buy the game because they've seen it. Streaming hurts movies, but it helps games. They could have shut down streamers a long time ago but chose not to because they know that streaming helps their game.
^ This is what I agree with. Rest your minds and calm your tits, Blizzard is making too much in advertisements to not protect its casters. Same for any e-sport, really.
^ This I understand, but I can't take it as leisurely as our poster does. People casting out of their apartments is, frankly, what makes e-sports AWESOME. They aren't part of the chain of command, and most of them know their place anyway. Remember when Husky put up a paypal link on his site and people OVER-donated by like, thousands of dollars? To which he said, thank you, but I don't need, and then LINKED TO CHARITY SITES?
I'd prefer our awesome casters (who are nothing but nice and totally cool guys) to stay out of any sort of corporate ladder, thanks. Also, e-sports is an industry. I don't see why it isn't.
^ I would love to see a link, but if it's true, happiness. :D

Beasil:
The moral of the story is, casters will simply have to fill out some paperwork, possibly get signed consent forms, and become legitimate business people. It will become an industry, and no longer just a bunch of kids in their early 20's casting out of their apartments.
^ This I understand, but I can't take it as leisurely as our poster does. People casting out of their apartments is, frankly, what makes e-sports AWESOME. Karni:
A revised version is being written to make it more clear that its meant for movies, music and TV shows. Plus even if the bill as is passed it really wouldn't effect streaming games or esports.
^ I would love to see a link, but if it's true, happiness. :D

Dreamhack Summer 2011

Gotta say, I was impressed with HuK's overall show of skill - he had some really good moves. But overall, I was unimpressed with his cheese. /:
Maybe I'm biased toward Zerg though. Yeah, Moon cheesed back, but only after a four-gate and two DT rushes...

Starcraft 2 NASL
Remember to tune into NASL - NASL Live
I'm not sure what's up with the timing - I told Google Calendar to mark the Idra vs. Tyler (because I have a huge crush on Tyler, and a SC2 crush on Idra), and it was like 'oh that's today'. The schedule says it is - but they're livestreaming the schedule from yesterday!
IDK WHAT'S HAPPENING.
